Reid Perkins
Kaitohu Tohunga Tuku Iho | Community Heritage Advisor

Reid Perkins is our Community Heritage Advisor. He is responsible for promoting knowledge about and engagement with local history across the Upper Hutt community. This includes co-ordinating heritage related Council activities, supporting community driven heritage initiatives, and facilitating the production of local history information, resources and events.

Lizzie Errington
Kaituitui Pukapuka – Taonga Tuku Iho | Librarian Heritage and Archives

 

Both the Co-ordinator and Librarian for Heritage and Archives act as kaitiaki for the community archives, ensuring that Upper Hutt City's stories are captured, preserved, and shared for future generations. They support customers to use Recollect and other heritage related resources, help researchers with local history enquiries,  take and process donations, and aid the promotion of local history through the creation of resources and events.
