Public Computers and WiFi

Public computers and Chromebooks

Upper Hutt Libraries provides free access to public computers and internet to support everyday tasks such as job searching, study, online forms, and staying connected.

We have 20 Chromebooks available for public use at Upper Hutt Central Library and Pinehaven Library, offering free internet and WiFi access through the library. These Chromebooks can be borrowed and used anywhere inside the library building, although they will not work outside library spaces.

You do not need to be a library member to use a Chromebook or a public computer.

Library members can log in using their Library Card, and Guest Passes are available for visitors who do not have a card.

Use of Chromebooks is subject to availability, and session times may be limited during busy periods so everyone has a chance to get online.
