Tiny Wonders: Saving, Preserving, and Packaging Seeds
Next date: Sunday, 08 June 2025 | 02:00 PM
to 03:00 PM
Calling all gardeners, green-thumbed locals, and everyone who is passionate about sustainability and biodiversity!
Come join us and be part of the much-loved Upper Hutt Seed Bank's next chapter.
The Seed Bank is taking a break over the winter – but behind the scenes, we are getting ready to relaunch this wonderful community resource in spring.
What this community workshop is about
Alice Midgley from Birchville Community Garden will share her wealth of knowledge about creating bountiful home gardens and growing healthy kai.
We will learn together about saving and harvesting seeds, and package up these tiny wonders ready for the Seed Bank's reopening in spring.
Keen to give back to the community? We'd love to have you there! Our goal is to create a network of locals who are interested in helping us maintain and care for the Seed Bank going forward.
Nau mai, haere mai – this is a family-friendly workshop.
