To reduce wait times on popular items, we shorten the loan period to two weeks for items with five or more holds on them. We hope that this process keeps wait times under three months.

Borrowing FAQs

  • Full memberships have unlimited borrowing. If someone wishes to borrow all items on a subject, we may ask you, in fairness to other library users, to limit your selection.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for items taken out on their children’s cards.
  • Items may be renewed two times if there is no request on the item. (Please note: This excludes titles from our Fastback collection.)
  • Notices are sent out after an item has been overdue for three days.

Overdue, reminder, and billing notices

We will notify you about overdue items by email or mail.

Text and email notifications are available for pre-due reminders and holds.
