We’re excited to launch our new catalogue!

The upgrade from our old software to the new system has been completed. Thank you for your patience over the past two weeks, while the final phase of this huge project was under way.

It’s now time to explore and browse – your next great read awaits.

Testing and finetuning

As with any major computer upgrade, there will still be a significant amount of work going on behind the scenes over the coming days to ensure that the new catalogue and system work as they should.

Some of our services may take a little longer to resume (e.g. Suggest to Buy). Our magazines collection will be available for browsing and borrowing – however, placing holds on magazines is unavailable at the moment. Work is under way to have them available for holds as soon as possible.

We appreciate your continued support during this time.

Getting started: all you need to know

We’ve compiled step-by-step instructions for the most common functions. If you need any help finding your way around, reach out to our friendly team on your next visit or online.

First: contact us to reset your password

Your previous password didn't transfer over to the new system.

Before you log in: please contact us to reset your password.

You won't be able to use the 'Forgot your password?' link for this very first password reset.

Please note: Once your password has been reset, you will need to sign in again if you use the library app, Libby app for eBooks, and other resources from our Digital Library.

Logging into My Account

(If you are signing in for the first time: please contact us first to reset your password.)

  • Visit the catalogue.
  • Click on My Account in the top right corner of the screen.
  • Enter your library card number and password.

Placing holds (reserving items)

  • Visit the catalogue and enter the keywords for your search (e.g. author name, book title).
  • Browse the list of search results.
  • When you’ve picked an item to reserve, click on Place reservation.
  • Enter your library card number and password.
  • You can then choose where you’d like to pick up the item from; whether you’d prefer to wait until after a certain date to get your hold (suspend); and if you don’t need the hold after a specific date has passed.
  • Click on Continue to finalise your hold.

Library app: holds currently unavailable

The library app is now connected to the new catalogue and computer system.

Please note:

  • Once you’ve reset your password on the new catalogue, you will need to sign in again on the app using your new password.
  • We're still updating information about loans and recent returns, so the information you see will not be fully up to date.
  • Placing holds is currently unavailable through the app – for now, please place holds through the catalogue.
