Author, artist, and illustrator Vivienne Lingard is bringing her third release, Mrs Forsythe, to Upper Hutt!

Originally from Silverstream, now based in Auckland, Vivienne will talk about her latest novel, which is set in 1970s Wellington and follows the journey of title character Marjorie Forsythe.

As Marjorie grapples with life as a reluctant wife and mother, the vibrant capital promises alluring opportunities to move past social norms and the demands of everyday home life.

Inspired by a lively discussion at one of Vivienne's monthly writing group meetings, Mrs Forsythe explores themes of family, community, and the freedom to make a life on one's own terms.

Join us for a fascinating conversation about character development, plot, setting, and an author's approach to drafting, editing, and publishing a novel.
