Light Quest is calling all budding video game developers and storytellers!

Planet Fiero needs our young coders' help in the final Fiero Code Challenge of 2025.

Do you have a young gaming fan in your family or whānau? This code competition provides the perfect project to channel their gaming know-how and experience of game play into developing their own video game.

The challenge: use Code Blocks to design a video game to help robots reignite the light of Planet Fiero.

The reward: be in to win fun tech prizes, like drones, code-able robots, and more.

The challenge runs from 1 October 2025 to 30 November 2025 and is open for ages 8 to 18.

Designed with different learning styles in mind, Fiero Code is perfect for introducing beginner coders to basic concepts and a range of widely used programming languages.

In this Fiero Code Challenge, first-time and experienced coders get to showcase storytelling skills, problem-solving techniques, and coding know-how using Code Blocks.

Similar to Scratch, Code Blocks works with a simple puzzle-piece structure and is especially great for visual learners.
